The Long Fishing Trip :: By Ava Canty

One day there was a girl and her dad. The girls name is Kate. Her dads name is Bob. They like to do activities together. Today they are going to go fishing. This morning dad bought a new red fishing rod. Kate helped her dad put it toghether. They put the reel, the handle and the hook together. They went to the river Shannon. Dad brought a box of worms and Kate brought a nice lunch. Dad put a worm on the hook. Dad and Kate put the worm and hook in the water and they had their lunch while they waited for a fish to bite. The fishing rod started to wiggle and Kate grabbed it she caught a little fish. Later on, dad caught a big colourful fish. Dad and Kate brought the fishes home for mammy to cook for the dinner.
