The Cold Winter Day :: By Heather B.

On Monday morning the children woke up and they saw snow outside. They got in their winter clothes and out they went. There was lots of snow on the ground and the shed was covered with a blanket of snow. The trees branches were all full of snow too. They decided to build a snowman. They rolled up the snow into a little ball and rolled it until it got really big. Kitty the cat came along and jumped on the snow ball. They said "Oh Kitty, get off it" Kitty ran off and they carried on building their snowman. Once they were finished making the body, they noticed that they were missing something. "Oh of course the carrot for the nose and the coal for the eyes and a mouth" They ran inside and Mammy gave them a carrot and some coal from the coal bucket. They ran outside and they put the carrot on for a nose and coals for eyes and mouth. They forgot the hat and scarf so they ran back inside to borrow Daddy's. The snowman was complete. The next morning when they looked out the window, the snowman was gone. All that was left was the carrot, coal, hat and scarf. They wondered how could this be because the snow still covered the ground and trees. It was a mystery, the missing snowman was never found. The End
