It was a Monday morning and we woke up early to get ready for school. But we got a huge surprise when we opened the curtains. Outside was covered in a thick white blanket of snow. Me and my brother were so excited because we had not seen snow since last year. All we wanted to do was to run outside and play. But we had to go to school. Oh no. But then teacher called Mammy and told her that school was closed because the snow was so deep. It was the best news ever. Me and my brother put on our coat, hat, scarf and gloves and ran out to the garden. We built the biggest snowman ever. We used a carrot for his nose and buttons for his mouth. We used Daddy's hat and scarf to keep him warm. Our snowman friend is warm now. What a great day.
