lily and Dad got ready to go fishing. While fishing at the harbour, Lily spotted what she thought was a big fish and shouted to Dad to come quickly. They both pulled and pulled and eventually pulled it out of the water but then noticed that they had caught a mermaid. The mermaid had long bright golden hair and she said that she was catching fish for her dinner. She pleaded with Lily and Dad to let her go and they smiled and wished her well. She gave them 2 salmon in return for letting her go. Lily and Dad made their way home.
