22-12-2020Hello Everyone! We have finally made it to the Christmas holidays!! It is so exciting! All of us here in St. Cronan`s Junior National School would like to say a big THANK YOU to you all for your support in helping us keep our school going strong. Ms Duffy wrote a poem to the rhythm of the poem “The Night Before Christmas” and although she wrote it with room 13 in mind it expresses how we all feel and think about this year 2020. Enjoy! Happy Christmas! ‘‘Twas the day before Christmas holidays from school, When the countdown was on and the weather was cool. The artwork was hung in the hallways with care, Pictures of Santa, reindeers and the odd polar bear. The children were busy at work in room 13, But no Irish or maths or English to be seen. Ms Duffy with her glasses and the children in their seats, Had just settled down for a movie with treats. A hard start of the year we all had, But now we’re at Christmas there’s reasons to be glad. Back together again in St Cronans this year, A new appreciation for what we hold dear. Stickers, marbles and singing out loud, Displaying our work and making Ms Duffy proud. We try our best in all we do, The best first class - really it’s true! But now we want to take this moment to say, To the people who helped us get here today. Thanks to our parents who minded us when everything was shut, Grandparents and friends who helped us stay put. Ms Moloney who worked hard to open our school, Safety now being our number one rule. Dave always ready to give us a hand, No better caretaker in all the land! 2020 Christmas art around the buildingComments are closed.
