We had great fun in the school celebrating Chinese New Year. This year is the year of the dog.
Teachers and children made displays with information about China including its traditions and customs. Children made beautiful lanterns and dragons. The second class children made a huge dragon about 4 meters long out of paper plates. Some children painted pale pink cherry blossoms. Children learned how the years got animal names (The Great Race Chinese Zodiac Story). They also played some Chinese games and explored some Chinese artefacts. There was a competition to draw your dog or send in a photo of your dog. We were delighted with all the beautiful, colourful drawing and photos. We have a lot of artists in the school! Great fun was had by all! Comments are closed.
