We held a fun competition where the children had to illustrate/take a photo of some things they counted over the Halloween Break. The response was unbelievable. The children really made a great effort. They counted in 1's, 2's 3's, 4's, 5's and 10's. Some children counted conkers, ghosts, leaves, decorations, spiders, trick or treat collections and much much more. They showed great enthusiasm and creativity. One Junior Infant child counted in 3 languages, Polish, Spanish and English. Others made large poster displays of everything they counted. It was so difficult to choose a winner from each class that we decided we had to give everyone who partook in the competition a consolation prize for their enthusiasm. Congratulations to the winners and well done to everyone who took part. We would also like to thank the parents for all their support. You are all amazing! |
