We read the story, 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' by Michael Rosen. We were able to say the opposite of lots of words in the story. For example we changed the sentence, 'We're not scared' into, 'We're not brave'. Instead of the 'long grass' we said, 'the short grass'... etc. See if your child knows the opposites of these words:
big - up - over- dark - thick- cold - Next we made a map on the IWB of the family's journey. We started in the house. Then they walked through the long grass, through the deep river, then the thick oozy mud, into the dark forest, through the snowstorm and finally into the narrow cave. Comments are closed.
