We were learning about the needs of a plant. A seed needs soil, water, air, light and space to grow. We decided to conduct an experiment ... We sowed cress seeds and omitted one need in each pot to see if the theory is correct. We had some surprising results! The cress seeds that we put in a zip lock bag grew the best! The children figured out that air must have gone into the bag each time we watered it and it ended up acting like a greenhouse. Science is very interesting!
This week we planted nasturium seeds. We put compost in a pot, made a little hole in the compost, planted the seed and covered it with compost again. It is the team leader's job to water the pots each day. We can't wait to see what colour flowers will blossom! Comments are closed.
