We made a concept map about how to keep warm: The children came up with lots of ideas: Put on your coat, hat, scarf and gloves Sit by the fire with a blanket around you Jump up and down run on the spot Rub your hands together Close the doors and windows Put a hot water bottle in your bed We tried an experiment to see which material would keep the hot water bottle the warmest. At 10 O'Clock we took the temperature of the water in each bottle - they were all 32 degrees celsius. We wrapped one in tin foil, one in bubble wrap and the third in wool. We took the temperature again at 1 O'Clock... check out our findings below. We were very surprised. Most children predicted that the wool would keep it the warmest. Comments are closed.
