This week we are doing the sound 'th'
th says \th\ as in thin Sound out the 'th' words and sentences in your hardcover notebook. Here are some extra 'th' words to read: thump thud with the cloth teeth tooth thank thorn think thunder thermometer (well done to Izabela who figured out this word today!) Parents/guardians - you can call out a word and see if your child can sound it out and write it down without looking at the word. ![]() We brought in pictures of our pets. It is very important to care for our pets by feeding them, cleaning them, letting them get exercise and giving them attention. We learned about a little boy call Jack who grew up in a house in 1920 (even before our grandparents were born!) We wrote a diary extract for him. To make the pages look old we dipped them in tea!
We all remembered to use capital letters at the beginning of a sentence and full stops at the end. ![]() We are learning about how our parents and grandparents care for us. We read the story, 'Owl Babies' by Martin Waddell during our religion lesson. In art today we made sponge prints of the three baby owls; Sarah, Percy and Bill. The sponge made their feathers look fluffy! Bhuaigh Adam 'Gaeilgeoir na Seachtaine'. Comhghairdeas!
I rith am súgartha, chuala an múinteoir Adam ag caint as Gaeilge leis na páistí eile. Is buachaill díograiseach é. |
