We read the story, 'The Three Billy Goats Gruff'. We even made our own book of The Three Billy Goats Gruff and it is in our class library for all to read. We read, 'The Wobbly Tooth' on Wednesday. We had been practising our sight words and so had no trouble reading this story.
This week we are doing the sound /oa/
Put your hand up to your mouth as though something has surprised you and say 'oa' Sound out the /oa/ words and sentences in your hardcover notebook. Here are some /oa/ words to read: goat road moan float roast coast toast boat Joan put a goat on the boat. It did not float. Parents/guardians - you can call out a word/ sentence and see if your child can sound it out and write it down without looking at the word. ![]() Alan won the Neat Handwriting Certificate for his excellent writing.
