We are now in second class and are all settled into Room 2A. Some of us were in room 2A in Junior infants so it's a little strange to be back!
We have been working hard over the last 2 weeks - getting to know our new teacher, learning our class rules and getting stuck into 2nd class work. Our class rules are 1. Raise your hand for permission to speak 2. Follow Instructions Quickly 3. Kind hands, kind feet, kind words 4. Make Smart Choices Here is a little preview of what we will be learning in September. Maths - Counting forwards and backwards mental addition and subtraction working on the 100 square revising tens and units word problems mental maths games English Sight words and reading "keep going" Phonics - blends and digraphs Writing Genre - lists Gaeilge - Mé Féin Cómhrá ginearálta, mo theaghlach, na baill choirp, dánta agus amhráin S.E.S.E Science - My Body Geography - My Local Area History - My Family Tree
