Our classroom faces onto our lovely school garden and this year we have a garden box. Unfortunately, I am not remotely green-fingered and every plant in my posession meets a sad demise1 If any parent or grandparent would be interested in doing some weeding and planting with small groups of children over the next few months I would be very grateful. It is an excellent opportunity for the children to learn about growing and life processes and will fit in very well to our theme of Spring in March.
We have a small budget for purchasing bulbs and vegetables and I am very open to suggestions as to what we should plant - again I am clueless! If you are interested and can spare some time (it need only be a half hour every so often) leave a comment below or talk to me next week. Thank you in advance Carmel O'Mahoney
