On Friday we all dressed up in our Halloween costumes and came to school to scare eachother. We had a spooky and fun day! We coloured Halloween pictures, made some spooky patterns, went on a spooky walk. carved a pumpkin, sang our Halloween songs and danced our skeleton dance. We drew some monsters and watched a cartoon about Casper the friendly Ghost. We had some sweets and we played some Hallowe'en games such as Snap Apple, Peanut races and Pin the Tail on the Monster. It was a great day! This week we got our new reading book - "Halloween". In the book Danny, Emma and Josh all dress up but poor Zeb is scared!. We practiced reading our new books with our reading wands.
We have also begun to build some words using the letters we know, We read and wrote words in the "at" family this week. Ms Smyth thinks we did a super job. We got some new morning activities this week. We have - sorting trays, a new jigsaw, letterland game, cutting and measuring snakes.
Here are the children on the red table saying Humpty Dumpty - we will add more videos soon!
We make sentences with our new words every day in school.. Children can practice at home with their word bags. How many sentences can you make ?
