We have begun to notice Autumn everywhere. Leaves are falling, the days are getting shorter. We have been learning about the different types of trees- the sycamore, horse chestnut and the oak tree. We now know each tree by its leaf and can tell you all about helicopters, conkers and acorns. Many thanks to all who took in items for our Autumn table!!
![]() In Room 18 we have been learning about many different types of homes- bungalows, detached, semi- detached, terraced, apartments and flats. We now know each type of home and can describe materials needed to build a home. ![]() I have really enjoyed the past few weeks getting to know all about the boys and girls in my new class. We worked hard to create our own fact files about ourselves. They were so good that I had to display them in the classroom! Well done boys and girls!! We are enjoying our learning in history. We have been reading the fairy tales 'Jack and the Beanstalk' and 'Rapunzel'. We work hard in groups to sequence pictures from the story. We have been working on hotseating and have worked hard to write our own versions of each story.
We worked very hard to create Paul Klee inspired self portraits. We decided to use lots of colour and shape like Paul Klee. Well done first class!!
