![]() Take a look at our spring display. All in Room 2 are very good at saying our poem- 'The Winds of March'. Check to see that your child knows it. Have a look at the daffodils and sheep that we made! ![]() Winter has gone and it is finally spring! We are all delighted as the sun has come out, which makes playing on the yard better fun! We have begun to learn about spring in our class. We now know all about daffodils and about the baby animals that are born in spring. Many thanks to all of the boys and girls who brought in things for our spring table. ![]() The boys and girls are getting so good at their gaeilge. We have been learning the phrase 'Cad is feidir leat?' in Gaeilge. We used this phrase when we were asking our classmates about our favourite pastime. . Ask you child 'Cad is feidir leat?' to see what they like to do best. ![]() Humpty Dumpty has been a great help to us in our class. Once we know our words of the week, they sit with Humpty Dumpty on his word wall. We are getting really good at our words. This week we have been learning the words- can, see, not, did, so, get, them and were. Keep up the hard work at home! ![]() We read the story 'Rosie's Walk' this week. It was all about a sly old fox who wanted to eat up Rosie the hen for his dinner. Thankfully Rosie got away but not before walking all the way through the farm yard. Check out our maps of Rosie's journey. ![]() After having Grandparents day we in Room 2 decided to find our more about our family tree. Take a look at our beautiful work! ![]() We celebrated Grandparents day in our class this week. We have been very busy learning all about what school was like when our Grandparents were young. We thought up some very good questions to ask our Grandparents- Did they have interactive whiteboards, if they did P.E at school, if they had playtime and if their classroom was as nice as ours. We were lucky enough to have many Grandparents come to visit our classroom. Many thanks to all the Grandparents who came. It was a great success!! |
