Tens and Units

We were so excited in room 11 this week to start learning all about tens and units. 

We used cubes and lollipop sticks to make numbers on notation boards. 

Notation boards have a T for tens on the left and U for units on the right.

We learned that units are the numbers from 0-9 and tens are numbers bigger than 10. For example the number 23 has 2 tens and 3 units.
