We have been learning all about Spring in room 14!
First we investigated Spring flowers by looking at all of the different part of Hyacinths, Daffodils and Pansies. We learnt about the differnt parts of the plants such as the stem, the leaves, the flower, the seed and the roots. We also learnt about their functions eg the stem is the part of the plant that support branches, leaves and flowers. We drew diagrams of the plants and their different parts. We also wrote about the function of each part. We then planted our own bulbs and seeds. Each table planted two big pots of Daffodils. Then we each got the chance to plant a smaller bulbs, Freesias and Dutch Iris's. We cant wait to see our Spring flowers grow
