We learned all about how to estimate in maths this week. This means to make your best guess as to how many items are in a group. We used bunches of lollipop sticks, links, crayons and cubes to help us to practice estimating.
First we took a handfull of each item and put them on the table. Then we estimated how many there were, finally we counted to find out if we were right. We also held a class competiton to see who could guess how many bears were in the tub. Ms Hall and Helena made an estimate too, can you guess who got the best estimate?
