We had great fun in our costumes today, we played Mummy Wrap, Pin the Nose on the Witch and lots of other Halloween games! Not only did we win the yard prize this week, we made a brand new record for the most rockets ever collected by a class. Congratulations boys and girls!
This week we went on a leaf hunt, we tried to find as many different types of leaves as we could around the school. We brought these leaves back to class to find out what tree they came from, afterwards we made cool leaf rubbings! Today we learned all about gravity. We then used a pencil and a lollipop stick to make our own seesaw, we tried to balance different classroom items on it; it was quite tricky! We had an action packed sports day today, we took part in egg and spoon races, sack races, 3-legged races, penalty shootouts and that's just to name a few! We also had a special visit from the Ice-cream man as a treat for all of our hard work. We took advantage of the good weather today and took our science lesson outdoors. In groups of 3 the children used magnifying glasses and containers to gather as many Mini-Beast's as that could find. After we examined and identified the different creepy-crawlies we set them free in the meadow! |
