Today we are bringing home our hedgehogs. We have done lots of work learning about hedgehogs. We know that they are nocturnal animals, they eat slugs, worms, insects and eggs and that they roll into a ball when they feel scared.
We made these lovely hedgehogs out of clay and matchsticks. We also know that hedgehogs hibernate so please find a safe, cosy place for your hedgehog to hibernate in until spring!

This week we started doing literacy stations. Literacy stations are a way of practising our literacy skills in an active and engaging way.
During each literacy stations session we complete five tasks. These tasks help us to develop our understanding of different areas of literacy. Our stations will be updated regularly to make them more challenging for us as our literacy skills become more developed. At the moment our stations focus on the letter sounds and reader words we have covered so far. This week is Maths Week. We are making an extra effort to do some interesting maths activities outside. This morning we made the most of the sunny weather and went on a maths trail. We went outside and counted objects such as trees, leaves and even insects! It was great fun!
