![]() We had a very busy day today! We came to school dressed up for Halloween, our costumes were all fantastic! After our morning activities Ms Emerson (who was a witch for the day!) cast a spell with some special helpers on some secret ingredients to make Halloween playdough. We all got a turn to mix the ingredients. We made monsters out of our playdough. Then we talked about Halloween brack and most of us tried some. Some lucky children even found a ring in their piece! Just before lunch we had a visit from two guards who spoke to us about keeping safe when going trick or treating and when watching fireworks. They were very nice and let some children try on their uniforms! After lunch we had a Halloween party. It was all great fun! There are lots of photos below. Have a lovely Halloween break everybody!

![]() We have had another great week! This week we learnt all about the letter s (Sammy Snake). It is a very tricky letter to write but we did very well! Our book this week was 'Room on the Broom' by Axel Scheffler. We even acted out the story ourselves...it made us laugh a lot! Next week we will continue to get ready for Halloween. On Friday the children may come to school in fancy dress if they would like, so we can celebrate Halloween in class. Have a great weekend! ![]() Today was Water Action Day. We all wore something blue into school. We spoke about saving water in the classroom and at home. We are going to be extra careful about turning off taps! Then we did a science experiment about floating and sinking. Next, we sorted the objects that floated and sank into sets. Finally we counted the objects in each set. ![]() We are learning all about autumn. We have been talking about autumn leaves and animals that hibernate. We are making an autumn table in our classroom. If you are out for a walk with your child and find any acorns, conkers or pretty autumn leaves you could let your child bring them into school for our beautiful autumn table. |
