![]() We wanted to find out how water moves around the trees that we were looking at in the school meadow. So we used a full piece of celery (this was a better size for our nature table than a real tree) and put it into a container full of red coloured water. We left it for a day and then watched the results every morning. If you look closely you can see where the water from the vase has moved. It started at the roots and made its way all the way to the leaves a the very top of the stem. ![]() To make coloured water just add a few drops of food colouring to tap water.
