Meet Fred Fred lives in Room 7 but he loves to go on adventures with the boys and girls. Each week he will go home with two children. He spends 3 nights in each house and then comes back to school. Fred does not have a journal or book to keep track of all his adventures but if you would like to take some pictures then please email them to me and I can put them on the whiteboard for your child to tell the class all about them. Please send them to sarah.boylan@stcronansjns.ie

The children brought in lots of wonderful Autumn things that they had collected. We spent some time looking at, discussing and sorting all the different signs that Autumn has arrived.
We had a very exciting day in school today when Paul Flynn and Darren Daly from the All Ireland champions team Dublin came to visit our school and they brought the Sam Maguire trophy with them. All the children wore blue colours to show their support. The hall was buzzing with excitement and the children were chanting DUBLIN, DUBLIN and singing Molly Malone. For one lucky boy in our class it wasn't his first time to see the Sam Maguire and he brought us in a photo and told the class all about it!
We went on an Autumn Walk around the grounds of the school to look for signs of autumn. We found lots of beautiful leaves, some berries and twigs. We even found a hole in a tree that the children think a squirrel might use to store food for winter.
