This week we are learning about the life of Anne Frank. We got a lot of information, pictures and videos from the Google Cultural Exhibit on Anne's life. You can find it here: You can tour the tiny annex where Anne lived with 7 other people for almost two years here:
Our maths challenge last Friday was all about maps. There is an old idea in maths called the four colour theory that says that any map can be coloured in using only four colours without having any of the same colours touching. We tested this by colouring in a map of Ireland using only four colours. It took a few attempts but eventually we all worked it out!
Well done to Shioze who was the first to get it! Our new Show and Tell topic this month is music.
Children are allowed bring in a musical instrument or a copy of their favourite for everyone to listen to. Paige brought in her violin to show everyone. Here is a recording of her playing it! Here is last weeks Maths Challenge!
Sorry for being late. Bonus Question: What would be the most expensive ![]() We held our own election in Room 19 on Tuesday to see who we would pick to be President of the United States. Barack Obama wanted to have free schools and hospitals but he would have to raise taxes to pay for these things. Mitt Romney wanted to get rid of all taxes but have people pay for schools and hospitals. In the end Obama won by 17 votes to 7 votes! |
