Dear Parents,
Thursday September the 24th is National Hospice Day this year. As usual we are holding a non-uniform day and children may if they wish bring a small donation towards this very deserving charity.
All proceeds received go directly to St. Francis Hospice, Raheny. This hospice provides a service of respite and palliative care to people in North Dublin who are in the advanced stages of cancer and motor-neurone disease. They do not charge for their services and consequently rely heavily on the wider community for financial support.
2020 has been a challenging year for all and as local organisations that rely heavily on fundraising; efforts continue to be severely affected by COVID-19. As with all frontline organisations, the pandemic poses a massive challenge to their services for vulnerable patients and their families. That’s why this National fundraising event has never been so important!
We, in St. Cronans J.N.S. have been supporting this event for many years now.
Thanking you for your continuing support!
