Parents
Parents have been informed from the outset of the process that the school has decided to work towards achieving the Active School Flag and they are kept up to date with progress through out website and newsletter from the Parents Association. We will also be asking parents for their help during this process.
Fingallians and Fingal Sports Inititative:
We aim to seek assistance from our local sports Partnerships such as Fingallians GAA Club and Fingal Sports Initiative and the Irish Heart Foundation. We have arranged for Eoin Mc Grath from Fingal Sports Initiative to give a teachers workship on 'Sports Conditioning' next February. This professional development for our teachers will help to support them to develop their PE programmes and promote physical activity within the school.
Irish Heart Foundation:
We are liasing with the Irish Heart Foundation and plan developing our gymnastics and dance strands next year (2015/2016). Facilitators will visit our school and upskill all our teachers on the latest programmes which will in turn be implemented into all the classes.
