Well done to all the groups who have won the class trophy in 'Table of the Week'. Tables win points by showing good teamwork, kind hands, kind feet and kind words. We were looking at and responding to two paintings called 'Bedroom in Arles'. Vincent Van Gogh painted the original in 1888. Roy Lichenstein created his interpretation in 1992. Today the children used pencils and colouring pencils to create their own drawing; Bedroom in Swords 2013
We discussed different items we would find in each room in a house. In groups the children made collages of homes and their contents. We read the story, 'The Three Little Pigs'. Then in groups we cut out and stuck the pictures on a story board in the correct order. We can tell the story very well! We will have P.E. on Tuesday AND Friday going forward. Please ensure your child wears their tracksuit and runners on both days please. Thank you! |
