This is our class Autumn tree which we made together. The boys and girls painted and cut out their very own leaves. Very soon we will be learning about the parts of the tree- branch, twig, roots, trunk, bark etc. Be sure to ask your child. They will be able to tell you all about it! The boys and girls in Room 2 love learning.
We read the story 'The Gruffalo' and pretended that we were 'Gruffalos'. Ms. Mc Intyre has many many 'Gruffalos' in room 2!! Our Art work is amazing!
We read the story 'Guess the baby' by Simon French. It was a lovely book about a class who play a game of guess the baby. We decided to play our very own game of 'Guess the baby'. Some boys and girls were very easy to guess as they have not changed too much, but some were very tricky and took us ages to guess. We even guessed which was Ms. Mc Intyre! We think that she has changed the most!!
The boys and girls in room 2 have been very busy learning all of their sight words for their first story 'Thank you Molly' in their Sunny Street readers. We get them every night for homework. We got cut up word packs and play 'Snatch the bacon' every night at home. The boys and girls are great at this game! Keep up the hard work!
The boys and girls in Room 2 have been discussing what we were like when we were babies. We learned about the types of clothes that babies wear, foods that babies eat and toys that babies play with. Ms. Mc Intyre even brought in some baby clothes that she used to wear when she was a baby. We could not believe that she fitted into such tiny clothes! We made our own timelines of our lives so far- when we were born, when we learned to walk, when we learned to talk, when we started Junior Infants, and when we started in Senior Infants! We have grown so big!
Ms. Mc Intyre is very lucky to be teaching such a wonderful bunch of Senior Infants this year. They really are such a lovely bunch!
Look at the art work that we completed on our very first week in Senior Infants. Ms. Mc Intyre gave us a blank picture and we had to draw in our eyes, ears, nose and mouth. Afterwards we played a guessing game to see if we looked like our drawing. Ms. Mc Intyre thinks that we are all great artists.
