We enjoyed Seachtain na Gaeilge - speaking Irish, the concert, learning new Irish dances and getting dressed up for the ceili. We did great dancing - no bruised toes at all!
In March, we had our school art exhibition. We enjoyed seeing our self - portraits framed and hung so beautifully. Here are four of our artists beside their pictures. I'm sure you can see the likenesses.
Every Thursday in the second term, we enjoyed a visit from Nicky, who comes from Fingallians GAA. We have been doing football and hurling training. It is great fun and the children have learned lots of skills. Doesn't our hurling photo look very professional!
We have been very busy preparing for Christmas. We made Santa collages, Christmas cards and look at our lovely crib silhouettes. We also sang in the school concert. Here are some pictures of us on stage with the tooth fairies doing a great job. Happy Christmas to all our blog readers!
Here we are all dressed up for Hallowe'en - soldiers, ghosts, zombies, fairies, grim reapers and more. we played bob the apple - much easier on a string than in the water!
In October, we did a lot of work about Autumn. We have hundreds of conkers on our Nature Table. We planted some conkers in pots. We did leaf rubbings and then drew, painted and mixed colours for our Autumn leaves. We made Hallowe'en lanterns and wrote about them too.
In September, we did lots of work about ourselves. We painted self portraits, measured our heights and printed our names. We voted on our Favourite Food - and chose very healthy options. Chips got no votes at all, pizza came first and fish second!
