Last week we had our sports day. We had a busy day at our activities. We played games, had egg and spoon and sack races, parachute games, obstacle and relay races. Here are some pictures of our day.
With the beautiful summer weather last week, we headed outdoors to make the most of it. We went in search as young scientists to discover and record the signs of summer. We had a look and plants and flowers around our school, listened for the sounds of summer and headed to the lovely green meadow for a bug hunt.
We are just back and exhausted after our senior infant school tour to Ardgillan Castle. We had a busy but brilliant day. We played games, made a special wish under a magic arch, met the funny tall butler in the house and a princess called Rose. We made a new friend on our travels through the woods. His name is Big Foot. To finish off our day we spent some time in the playground.

To finish off an exeptionally jam-packed week. . . we headed to the halla for our Hip-Hop-Athon. We broke out our best moves on the dance floor . . . enjoing every minute. Our first day at GAA .... what fun! We have been busy practicing our different football skills over the last month. We now know how to solo the ball, hop the ball and hand pass. We are really looking forward to our next 2 sessions in June!
In room 16 we have been busy making butter. We put our ingredients of cream and a pinch of salt into a small air tight container and began to shake it. While we were shaking we said our magic rhyme 'Come butter come, Come butter come, Someones waiting at the gate, for a litlle butter cake.' After 15 minutes and a lot of shaking - we had made butter. After all our hard work we enjoyed the tasty butter on some crackers. Yum!!
