Our Classrooms

Our classrooms are spacious, comfortable and most are 'en suite'. All of our classrooms are well resourced with musical instruments, class computer in most rooms, maths equipment, full sets of library and shared reading books, numicon, 'Let's Begin' programme, letterland resources, sandpits in the junior rooms and activities for all to enjoy!.

Playground

Our playground has been recently resurfaced. Ms. Hourican and Ms. Mc Mahon designed and painted different games on the yard for the children.
The design included:
- A maze.
- Hopskotches.
- Number and letter games.
- Pussy four corners.
- A circuit.
- A house.
- Fish filled with different shapes.
- A compass.

Computer Room

We have a state of the art computer room complete with:
- Teacher's PC with DVD Rewriter.
- 11 PC's.
- Laptop PC.
- Projector.
- CD server.
- Scanner.
- Digital Media Camera.
- 2 Digital cameras.
- Camcorder.
- 1 laser Monochrome networked Printer.
- 1 Colour laser Printer.
- 1 Dropdown Screen.
- 11 sets of Headphones.
The school has also acquired a comprehensive library of computer software.

P.E. Hall

We are extremely lucky in St. Cronan's to have a full sized Hall and Stage.

Library

On the 6th of March 2008, Niamh Sharkey, a well known children's author and illustrator will be officially opening our New School library. Our library is extremely well resourced with a collection of books in many different categories(e.g. poetry, fairy stories, Magic, Mr. Men, Animals etc). We have also ordered two listening centres, which will allow 16 children to listen to a story on headphones!
